Too many widgets can clutter your desktop and drain your phone’s battery. How can you get rid? We will show you how to get rid of them for Windows and other platforms.
Remove a widget from Windows desktop
Right-click on the widget to close it. You can also hover your cursor over it. Click the x to the top of the Option Menu.
Remove a widget from a Mac Desktop
Click Dock at the bottom. Select Applications. Select Dashboard. Click the + icon at the bottom of the screen.
Hold the button to delete the widget. Click on the circle in the middle of the widget icon to remove it.
Remove a widget from an Android Home Screen
Press the widget that you don’t like on your phone’s homepage until an Remove notification appears. Drag the widget to the top of your screen until it turns red. Then, release it.
You might need to drag the widget down to the bottom of some Android devices.
Remove a widget from the iPhone home screen
To see your options, tap and hold the widget you wish to delete. Select Remove Widget. Tap the top left corner to delete the widget if you are in home screen editing mode. Select Remove to delete it.

Widgets can be useful when you need information or to access certain features of an application without having to open it. One example is the calendar widget. You can have too many.
You can make your desktop look cluttered and they will also reduce your phone’s battery life. The widget is not removed by uninstalling it. Uninstall the widget if you don’t need it.
